- Dog Food: Self explanatory.
- Dog Dish / Dog Bowl / Water Dish: Don't forget to pick up a dish for water and food. We have many to choose from in our store. Pick up ones that will go nicely with your kitchen decor because they will be there for a long time.
- Cloth from the prior owner: It's helpful for the new pup to have a piece of cloth that's been close to the prior owner or bed mates. This will help reduce the feeling of home-sickness.
- Collar: We have a wide variety of dog collars to choose from... leather, vinyl, and nylon. There is something for everyone. You'll definitely want a collar in case that new pup gets lose on you.
- ID Tag: You'll need the collar for this. The ID tag is very important.
- Leash: 6ft leash is recommended for puppies. We have a number of dog leashes to choose from in our store.
- Floor cleaner for those house training mistakes. You'll want something to eliminate the smell and the stain so the dog doesn't get used to going in that one place. You'll find excellent floor cleaners in our store. We have put a great package together for the first time dog owner...
- A crate or gate that will keep you pup in a confined area when he or she is left alone.
- Bedding for the crate: You'll want to provide a soft place for your pup to lay his head while you're away. This could also be used as the dog's bed.
- A dog bed:I like the comfy cozy type. We have lots to choose from in our store.
- Puppy Pads are helpful during house breaking you dog.
- Puppy toys: minimal toys. No need to overwhelm the pup.
- A ticking clock or a hot water bottle wrapped in towels can help you new dog fall asleep.
- Nail clippers: Many times people are afraid to clip their dog's nails but this is a very important procedure, so if you aren't able to do it you'll need to take your dog to a groomer to do it. We have a variety of clippers in our store.
- Dog Brush: brush your dog 2-3 times a week. The type of brush you will need is based on the type of dog you have. We have many to choose from in our store.
- Pooper-Scooper: You'll want to clean up poop from your yard and when you're going for walks. There are scoopers and there are bags. All work great.
